In Under the Skies of Ahmedabad, (2012) maps an experience of an alien place previously only seen via Google Earth satellite images. Whilst on a Residency in India Jacqueline stayed in the old part of the city an area unmapped (satellite or otherwise), a labyrinth of uncharted streets and alleyways. This area became a sanctuary, a place to reflect and contemplate.
The images do not represent a geographical mapping of a route or location rather they reveal how it feels as an outsider to live in the city, the emotional experience that makes up the ritual of the everyday.
